Sash windows – generally considered to be windows from a previous era – not any more there are now a number of ranges available that are as visually pleasing and even more hardwearing than the original timber casement and rope pulley systems of yesteryear.
They are not revolutionary neither are they a new concept, they are not using new materials, they are simply a traditional window that have evolved in to a window for the twenty first century.
These new windows are constructed in UPVC profile which allows them to be thermally insulated, plus they will need minimum maintenance over a longer period of time, the cord pulley systems have been replaced by stainless steel sliding and pivoting hinges which can also incorporate a tilt and turn option for ease of cleaning and they include double glazing as standard.
